The core of Cloud+ is configuration and deployment. In this course, you will learn the basics of a virtualization/cloud solutions initial deployment. First, you will learn about system and plan requirements to develop and execute testing of a plan and assess virtual network elements, along their required use in a scenario.

 

Next, you'll gain knowledge of CPU and memory sizing along with storage technologies and assessment. Finally, you'll learn about workload and service infrastructure migration. When you're finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of Cloud+ needed for configuration and deployment.

 

This course specifically focuses on configuration and deployment topics. In executing a deployment plan, we look at the elements that go into a deployment plan and the process that is used to create a solution. In virtualization and cloud architectures, we discuss the different cloud and virtualization technologies that are available. In CPU and memory sizing analysis, we discuss the different technologies and features involved to ensure proper solution sizing. In determining the best storage solution, we will go over each of the different virtualization and cloud storage options and how they are implemented. In analyzing virtual networking requirements, we review a number of networking concepts and technologies that are often utilized. In testing plan requirements, execution and analysis, we discuss how testing plans are performed and used in these environments. In analyzing the workload for successful migration, we review the different migration options and technologies. And finally in extending the infrastructure into the cloud, we take a look at some of the different solutions that need to be extended when moving to a virtualization or cloud solution. By the end of this course you'll have a good base of knowledge to successfully configure and deploy cloud and virtualization based solutions.

 

This course focuses on security services for Cloud+ and virtual solutions. In this course, you'll learn foundational knowledge about various security tools, services, and technologies of a virtualization/cloud solution deployment. First, you'll learn about security configurations and compliance. Next, you'll explore information about access control. Finally, you'll review the different security automation techniques and tools. When you're finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of security technologies needed to understand security for Cloud+.

 

This course specifically focuses on security topics. In investigating cloud security configurations and compliance control, we look at different cloud security configuration topics including security policy, encryption technologies, key and certificate management, and tunneling protocols. In analyzing cloud security technologies and access control, we look at the different security technologies that are used to secure a cloud solution, including access control models, object authorization, data classification, as well as segmentation and microsegmentation. And finally, in reviewing cloud automation techniques, we take a look at the different techniques that can be used to automate the various tasks in the cloud, including associated tools and services. By the end of this course, you'll have a good base of knowledge to successfully understand the different security concepts and technologies that are commonly seen implemented on cloud and virtualization-based solutions.

 

Whether you're working in the Cloud or with virtualization, your solution will need to be maintained. In this course, you'll learn foundational knowledge of different maintenance subjects. First, you'll learn about patching virtualization and cloud based solutions. Next, you'll discover the ways that automation can be used to handle solution updating and maintenance tasks. Finally, you'll explore backup and restoration concepts and disaster recovery. When you're finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of Cloud+ needed to maintain your solutions.

 

This course is specifically targeted on the subjects covered under the maintenance objective. In Determining the Best Solution Patching Methodology module, we focus on organizational virtualization and cloud patching, including the different methodologies, processes, and procedures. In Investigating the Updating and Maintenance of Cloud Elements through Automation module, we will talk about updating and maintenance within an organization, and how it can be automated. In the Reviewing the Different Backup and Restoration Methods module, we discuss the different backup and recovery concepts and methods that are used within organizations. And finally in the Application of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Processes module, we finish up, and discuss disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and how they are designed to ensure organizational operations during a disaster. By the end of this course, you'll have a good base of knowledge to successfully understand the different maintenance concepts, technologies, processes, and procedures that are commonly seen implemented on cloud and virtualization-based solutions.

 

There are multiple management subjects that are important to understand when working with virtualization and/or Cloud solutions. In this course, you'll learn foundational knowledge of the high-level processes and procedures to manage your Cloud environment. First, you'll learn about virtualization and Cloud resource allocation and how it compares with traditional solutions. Next, you'll discuss resource use, deployment and optimization techniques. Then, you'll explore user accounts and the different techniques and tasks that are used when provisioning them.

 

Finally, you'll discover virtualization and cloud SLA metric concepts and how they can be assessed. When you're finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of Cloud environment needed to manage your virtual or Cloud solutions.

 

This course will review many of the different troubleshooting scenarios that are commonly seen as well as the different issues that they present to the organization. It also reviews some of the tools to use when troubleshooting them. In this course, you will gain the ability to troubleshooting different common scenarios and how to handle them within the Cloud. First, you will learn how to recognize a variety of different troubleshooting scenarios that commonly occur. Next, you will discover the basics of how to troubleshoot them. Finally, you will explore how to how to remedy and verify that they are fixed. When you're finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge Cloud and virtualization scenarios need to troubleshoot, correct, and test them in a cloud or virtualization setting.
